
A Self-Directed Learning Summer Program
This is a Tuesday/Thursday summer program opportunity for children and teens ages 6 to 14.
LOCATION: Whitinsville, MA
The space includes a grassy yard, trampoline, ninja course, chickens, vegetable & perennial gardens, 50 acres of woods- with trails, ping pong, 50+ board/card games, sprinkler for cooling down, kitchen to cook in, arts/crafts/building maker space, etc..
The price for the week (2 days) is $75.

The Schedule
9:00 - 9:10 Arrival, Settle in, Offerings

Children arrive and settle their belongings
9:10-9:30 Morning Meeting

Play a connection game

As a group we will build our offering board. Children can offer classes/activities and set a time for their offering.
9:30 - 12:30 Self-Directed Learning

Children participate in offerings of their choice and make decisions about how to spend their time.

Throughout the day, facilitators help children prepare for their learning offerings. They announce all offerings so children are aware and can participate if interested.
12:30 - 1:00 Lunch
1:00 - 2:45 Self-Directed Learning

2:30 - 2:45 Change-up & Wrap Up

Discuss any challenges (AWARENESS) we face as a community. Together we come up with solutions (PROPOSALS) and agree to follow through as a community (WEEK 1, 2, 3 PRACTICE) until MASTERY/HABIT is formed.
