Our Schedule

9:00 - 9:15 Arrival, Settling in

​

• Children arrive and settle their belongings.

• They can make a class offering(s) and schedule a time for their offering on our class schedule.

• They gather on the rug with classmates and chat until our first meeting begins.

 

9:15 - 9:45 Morning Meeting 

​

• Play a connection game as a community.

• One child reads aloud all the offerings and scheduled times for the day.  

• Children work in their Intention notebook creating their day. 

 

9:45 - 2:30  Self-Directed Learning Time 

​

• ​Children participate in offerings of interest and make decisions about how they spend their time. 

• Throughout the day, facilitators help children prepare for their "class" offerings and announce all offerings so children are aware and can participate as interested.  

• Children have full freedom and autonomy to choose what they "do" in each and every moment.  During the self-directed learning time there is lots of play! Play is how we learn (even as adults!)  They tinker, experiment, build, socialize, collaborate, observe, teach, learn, and more!

TUESDAYS: 2:30 - 2:45 Wrap Up Meeting 

• Share highs, lows, and gratitudes from the day.

 

THURSDAYS: 2:30 Change-up Meeting

• Discuss any challenges (AWARENESS) we face as a community.  Together we come up with solutions (PROPOSALS) and agree to follow through as a community (WEEK 1, 2, 3 PRACTICE) until MASTERY/HABIT is formed.
